Kipaji Lab is open to African filmmakers, photographers, and visual storytellers with two or more years of experience. This is a skilling-up program for developing talent ready to advance their craft, not a beginner program.

There is no cost to participate in core Kipaji Lab training. However, applicants pay an application fee at submission, and participants are responsible for their own accommodations and transportation to training facilities.

For Kipaji Lab South Africa Cohort 4.0, applicants must be South African nationals or residents. The program is fully in-person, and participants must be available for the duration of training in Johannesburg.

The Kipaji Lab Training Program is a four-week immersive program in Johannesburg. The curriculum combines transformational learning, professional workshops, and hands-on production training, supported by online modules completed throughout the four weeks
